Tier 4 UK student Visa changes from 01 October 2012

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

You can apply for a Tier 4 (General) Student visa for a new course a maximum of 3 months before your start date.  The current rules state that you can only apply for your visa from within the UK if there is less than one month between the end date of your current visa and the start date of your new course.  If there is more than one month between the end date of your current visa and the date that your new course will start, then you will have to return home to apply for your Tier 4 visa.
These rules will change on 1 October 2012 and will affect postal applications submitted now. From 1 October, you will only be able to apply for your visa from within the UK if there is less than 28 daysbetween the end date of your current visa and the start date of your new course. For this reason we advise any students who have a gap between 28 - 31 days to apply in person in the UK or return home to apply. This is because if you apply by post in the UK and your application is not decided until October (which is likely as there are currently delays in the UK), your application will be refused
